Wetland Garden

You'll enter the Gardens over a bridge spanning a natural waterway. This stream is being developed into a wetland garden, once a common environment in Iowa. Planted with many water-loving cultivars, these plants illustrate how the ecologically important areas improve water quality, reduce soil erosion, and sedimentation. These areas also provide habitat for wildlife and prevent floods.
